Wanting to remap my 335d (f30) and 520d (f10). Some places are still quoting 3 hours with ecu out. This is one of the places saying they can now port flash. Evolve is the other tuner who said they could port flash.

Quantum is closer to home. Worries about black smoke on acceleration but can’t seem to find anything.

They are not well regarded online and most will say avoid as they are a generic mapper.

Having said that, my previous car was mapped by them (Seat Leon TFSI) prior to my purchase of it and I had no map related problems at all. It was punchy and very driveable.

On balance, I would use a reputable mapper for a car like yours.

I know a fantastic tuner in Windsor. He is a tuning god, and a nice guy to boot.

His E-mail is bobbysinghracing@outlook.com.
Drop him a mail and he will be able to give you a price for both cars.

Yeah they are well regarded in Bimmerforums.co.uk. Could register there and ask the chap directly for quotes, power estimates, previous work examples etc.

i thought this was about quantum tunnelling and i was preparing to start talking about how birds can perceive the earth's magnetic field but then i realised that it was about a tuning company and that my thoughts would not be relevant.

My Clio had a Quantum remap ; it seemed expensive when there are other cheaper and superior solutions for the Clio like the RS-Tuner.

It was fine. The throttle response was a bit too sharp at the low-mid range which I suspect was down to advanced ignition timing however; those who have been in a car where the ignition advance is a little too much will know what I mean. But the car did have great low end torque around town for a 172.

Avoid Quantum Tuning like the plague!! Been 3 days without a car after they tried to map it, and now having to have it recovered back to main dealer to fix it!! No one calling me back and should have left for holiday 2 hours ago. No one is interested or seems to want to help. The software writers have tried numerous fixes but cannot get my car back to the original map or get a new one on, leaving me without a car and a bricked ECU! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
