We are in a position to get another car for the Mrs. She currently uses a 2018 grand scenic 1.5dci and I use a 1.0 yaris (I have my rally car for thrills) Her job involves quite a bit of driving and has jobs in Durham City. The scinic just gets a tiresome driving for her. So we are keeping the scinic as we have 4 kids so need the seats and the yaris will be on its way.
She doesn't like my yaris so won't drive it!
Also when there is just the two of us I will do the driving so don't want it to be too boring.
Her yearly milage is around 12-15k

Her list of things she wants is.

3 Doors
5 Seats
Bluetooth
Satnav
Some thing with a bit of go.
Petrol or Diesel

The Satnav can be put in aftermarket easily enough.

Cars she likes but fall down on the seats, doors or don't like are.

Twingo
Swift
Ignis
Mito
Jazz
Punto

Cars she likes so far.

Picanto
A class
Newer yaris sr

We have up to 3k to spend but maybe able to go to 4k with a bit more saving.
She doesn't like Citroën/Peugeot/ford/vauxhall.
Our eldest daughter has a pro ceed that is nice but they won't have the same car.
I am starting to pull my hair out! So please help me out fellow pistonheads.

Why specifically 3 doors?

5 door versions of city cars are no larger and the smaller doors make it easier to get in and out in tight car parks, not to mention the easier back seat access!

I had a 2014 Hyundai i10 and it was a great car for around town. Only available as a 5 door though.

She wants 3 door for the looks as all she has ever had is 4x4s or 7 seats so she just wants something totally different now.
As for the fiesta she doesn't like the looks of them and the ones with a bit of go are the ecoboost's that are made of cheese.

I thought this as there are quite a few sportings in budget but no! Will add to the don't like list.

Mazda 5 OK
Hyundai i20 16 seconds 0-60!
Micra not a chance!

Thanks for the suggestions.

Early VW Up/Seat Mii/Skoda Citigo are £3-4k now. It won't be quick but you can check them around the corners. The sat nav/Bluetooth is a Garmin unit that plugs into the dashboard top, depending on the model.

Thanks for all the help guys. Picked up this little Mazda 2 with just 42k on the clock for £1800 so not bad. It's had a good clean today and the wheels tidyed up.
