Non-French MPV / van-based car suggestions please

Hi,

We've had Renault & Citroen van-based-cars (i.e; Kangoo etc.) and in terms of space they've been great. In terms of reliability and cost to repair; they've been French.

I've been scratching my head trying to come up with a Japanese / reliable van-based-car alternative. Needs to be £3000 or less - nothing new. What do people think?

Should be able to get a Honda Stepwagon for that

If you don't mind driving an import, the Nissan Cube.

Nothing special, but quite reliable.

If you dont mind something bigger (I.E. a van based van) you can get Nissan El Grands pretty cheap.

Edit: Also the Corsavan/Astravan

I'd say a Suzuki Wagon-R. Although they stopped importing it officially about a decade ago so it's either an old model or a grey import.
