Got a big one off payment coming up for work i want a company to carry out for me and although I have the available funds for it I want to be covered on the off chance they were to go under. Would need about 25k. currently I have no debt bar a mortgage always paid on time and no loans, finance or credit cards. Is that possible straght from zero credit cards?

I would check with your bank but I was told recently that debit cards now offer the same protection.

I also believe credit cards and debit cards are covered. Are you planning on buying a car or something?

I think you are covered for the full amount even if you only use the card for say £100 of the total amount.
