As it’s a quiet Sunday, I thought i’d post this here.
As per title should soon be looking to buy something in this area so wanting to do some decent research first.

Randomly just browsing I have looked at a fair few different makes and models and would like something a little different ideally. Would prefer something more modern if possible, but easily talked into older classics as long as they are not money pits. I’d love another E34 M5 but not in budget sadly.

Car can be large or small as it’s just me and swmbo these days, (and she probably won’t go near it smile

much.)

Hard top or convertible, not fussed as long as it makes me want to go for an early morning Sunday drive.

The following have caught my eye
Mazda mx5, yes i’m Middle aged, but no i’m not a hairdresser or having a crisis.
BMW Z4, ideally post 09 but know I’m limited on budget.
BMW Z3 if it were a real peach.
Porsche Boxster and Mercedes SL, could get older ones in budget but unsure on costs if they went belly up?
Any Alfa smile

an itch to scratch maybe? I like the look of the Brera, but more than that the 159 08-11 plate in the right colour and wheel combo is right at the top of my list!!!! But are these still proper Alfa/drivers cars?

Mazda MPS3, or whatever it is called, the quick 1?
Sporty 1 series BMW maybe?

I know it’s quite a broad spectrum, just after thoughts and ideas,

Thanks for the links, some more food for thought there.

Never really been a fan of those 6 series or the XK.
I love that CL but I think the running costs would scare the life out of me, same with the Porsche I assume, but did really like the middle Boxster.

S5 was lovely and worthy of further attention as are the S2000’s but my fave of the bunch are the 350Z’s.
Lovely looking, good spec and performance and the Bose system would always be a bonus. Think i’ll have a nose on some specific 350Z forums for more info.
