SAP Finance VT Charges
Discussion
I am pretty fuming now so this wont be an essay. I am being chased by SAP (letters rearranged) for vehicle damage after i VT`d the vehicle at start of December last year.
I will bullet point this
2015 buy 5year old pretty Italian car (not that one) from a big northern dealer
Dec 2017 , car is able to be VT`d by virtue of 50% paid
Sign the paperwork return to SAP and drop off at Donnington agents for inspection on agreed date
Over an hour later ,car is accepted with wear and tear items totally £1k , i question this if its something i need to be pay now as its not a fair assessment i will just take the car back if thats the case.
Nice polish lady assures me no this is just their report at the auction house
Fast forward to today SAP send me a statement saying i owe £1k , i have obviously challenged this as i don't believe that this is fair that i am being chased 3 months down the line or the fact that wear and tear definition wasn't determined at VT.
Car wasn't expensive it was worth 2k private sale at the time and i actually saw it up for 3k at a dealer with the alloys refurbed a month after .
I have asked SAP to start there appeal process , my question to PH is how do i proceed from now on.

Who is SAP?
Wear and tear items? What were they, were they within the BLVRA guidelines?
Did you sign anything?
My BCA inspection for VT on a PCP vehicle was inspection a week before collection > remediate > collect > challenge with VWFS any charges.
The end of this loop is becoming a loop hole for car finance companies because even though you may get the reported issue sorted that won't be automatically null and void with them until you challenge the costs.

I signed to say they accepted the vehicle back.
Yesterday i received a letter from the finance house stating that the appeal process has started ,so lets see what comes of that. I cant see how its fair to be charged for damage that would have been there at point of sale.
