Usually buy it in trays of cans from Costco.

Last couple taste very odd - a bit metallic and not so Cola-ish as it used to.

Anyone else noticed a change?

Pepsi Max is my tipple of choice and can't say I've noticed any change in taste.

Not noticed a difference. Pepsi Max ginger is surprisingly excellent too.

I haven't noticed any change and I'm sadly addicted to the stuff. Full on enjoy hearing the hiss when opening the bottle through to pouring.

Very doubtful but there are different formulae depending on where you are in the world so it might be imported instead of made by Britvic. That's unlikely though
They might have changed the plastic in the bottle or if you drink from a can it might have been somewhere you don't want to know smile

i find lucozade original sometimes tastes, for want of a better word, dusty. sometimes its ok, but some bottles have this horrible dusty taste. not sure what it is.

Unlikely, Britvic rent the land next to their canning plant to the can maker and there is a tunnel under the road through which the cans are blown with the lines being "close coupled".

At this time of year they don't tend to stock build bodies, that usually starts after Easter so stocks won't be hanging around too long.

Once the bodies are on the Britvic site they, are blown with compressed air inside and then inspected for foreign bodies before the filler which runs at c600 cans a minute.

If you can "taste the can" then it is likely to be a misspray on the lacquer which allows the product to become in contact with the metal.

This is not unknown and measured in "complaints per million", iirc the target was for less than 0.5 complaints per million, they fill upward of 100bn a year!

Thanks all.

Can says "Made in GB" with a best before day of August 18

I have a number of trays in the outhouse - maybe I'll have a taste test against a newly bought can from Sainsbury's

For those like me who are addicted, Tesco currently have the 24x330ml cans for a £5, which I believe is slightly cheaper than Costco. Offer finishes 20th March, so took up smile
