Ltd Co or self employed?
Discussion
OK, if this is glaringly obvious and a daft question, then I'm sorry. I've never been anything but fully employed and PAYE, and am a bit clueless.
A long story cut short, I'm likely to be leaving my current employer, but being retained by them on a consultancy basis and paid a fixed fee per year. I'll also be helping other companies in an unrelated industry, but paid by the hour on an ad hoc basis.
I don't anticipate my income to be huge. Apart from the consultancy work I'm changing career and I'm starting at the bottom.
Should I go self employed or start a ltd company and put all my earnings through that, and pay myself via dividends etc?
