Engraved pylon
Discussion
The postie dropped off this morning a box containing a rather pretty lump of metal with my name, VIN number etc engraved into it. Apparently it's called a pylon, but then I imagine you already knew that.
Either way, I like it. It's heavy and tactile, and adds to the sense of the purchase being a special occasion.
The end.

Took a lot longer for mine to arrive, didn't realise it was called a pylon. I appreciate it, but would have preferred something a bit more practical
When I collected the car I was presented with a trainer size box. I excitedly opened it expecting a pair of Porsche trainers to find two bottles of wine.

No, but apparently you can use them to hit 981 owners over the head with, when they inevitably comment about the engine sound !!
Yeh, that's all well and good, but what does it actually sound like when you use it for that purpose ? I'd wager it's not as good as when you use the version from the six pot car ....
