Hello all,

I'm looking to imminately replace the family E53 X5 that died a death last month after 4 years service.

Shortlisted;

VW Touareg 05/07
ML350 06/07
Volvo XC90 06
Porsche Cayenne 04/05

Can anyone offer any advice/experiences or thoughts.

Mileage will be minimal, i won't be commuting in it so around 5k per year. It needs to be auto, reliable, and able to do short trips and the odd motorway journey, tip runs and husky dog missions.

Budget is between 5 & 6k, at the moment head is saying Touareg and heart is saying Cayenne!

Thanks in advance

I know it's not on your list, but a Jeep Grande Cherokee 3.0 CRD in Overland Spec would be a decent shout.

For your budget you would get a really good one with lowish miles.

A few years back I was looking at X5's and Touregs but ended up with the jeep.

I've had a look at them but not a fan to be honest, was a good shout though.
