Following on from my .3 of a shed Audi A4 thread plunging into the world of shed meant some funds were available for a toy. Requirements were it had to be old, track prepared, inexpensive to run/maintain and be as rust free as possible!

I sold my 205 last year so was tempted to find another, although for my budget you really can’t buy much 205 now. MK2 golfs are cool but I’ve never been a golf man. I did consider a MK1 MX5 but fell in love with this E30 which ticked most of the boxes. Calling the owner I was immediately reassured it would be good, proper enthusiast and a top bloke.

I’ll post a full spec shortly, but basically it’s a 318is converted to 320 spec for the PBMW E30 race series. Unfortunately the car was never raced and has sat for a couple of years so does need going over. Sadly my budget doesn’t stretch to racing, so my plan is to go through the car and get an MOT on it for some sunny sundays and trackdays.

The paints not great, it probably needs way more work than I think but I absolutely love it. I’ve had BMW’s before but this is my first E30 so any tips/advice welcome!
