Hi all, hope you are making the most of the good weather!, I have decided to change my gearbox oil and diff oil tomorrow as my car has been well behaved and not broken down recently and I would like to keep it that way!!!!
The diff I can do no probs but haven't looked at the gearbox yet!!
Can anyone tell me where the plugs are on it and any tips to help me with this????
many thanks
Richard

what sort of gearbox do you have on your car?
If its an SDI you will find on the rear right side of the gearbox a 32mm magnetic drain plug with a brass crush washer, obviously drain the oil from here and remove/clean any metalic swarf from the magnet, its best to replace the brass crush washer with a new one too
To re-fill, there's a 13mm square plug, (slightly above and forward of the drain plug) extract this and fill up from here.Use a sealant on the square plug before you put it back in.

if its a BW T5 i've got no idea, sorry.
