Leven heater control knobs

I'm replacing the heater control panel in a friend's early 500 and it has Leven alloy heater control knobs fitted.
They seem to be attached to the spindles by very small grub screws with "allen key" heads.
The smallest allen key I have is 2mm which is too big.
Does anyone know what size they are ?
Can you also confirm how to remove the actual heater control panel and then how to remove all the gubbins from it to move onto the new panel ?

I've managed to get the grub screws out by filing down my smallest allen key.
I've got the "MO518" printed circuit board out but I need to replace two of the round leds
Does anyone have a photo of the rear of the circuit board to show which tracks are positive and which ones are negative so I know which way round to solder the replacement leds ?
