Sounds like a good idea, but for one thing.
I've never done a track day!!!

I love the way these things come together

Check out "GOZ007"s thread "Trackdays at Snetterton" on this page and www.uk-trackdays.com for dates I will of course duly sign up for camcorder duty

An airfield day such as the Lotus On Track ones would be good. I can't do proper trackdays as my insurer will not cover me and I suspect that's the same for a fair few others too.

A great day, that one only cost me £10 with instruction!

I think there is a trackday beginnig of next month at snetterton which I was planning on going to. It would be good if a bunch of fairly local PHERS could make it.

It’s very hard to get a weekend date at Snetterton because race meetings take place then. In fact if you check most track day operator’s calendars, weekend dates are rare. It’s worth booking a day off work during the week and making it a good day out

Simon, not in our region but I think GOZ007 can offer Bruntingthorpe on a Saturday

I would be well up for brunters, I looked into organising a track day there but didn't have the time to finish it off.

The best bet would be to use one of their own organised days which they run, approx £150 for a whole day.

If you can fix up a date between you, let me know; I'll put it on the PHEA website as another event and send it round my e-list which might get a few more.

The days we offer at Bruntingthorpe are all open pit lane and cost £100.00. We run these days with Big Thunder who are based at Bruntingthorpe.

Hi Simon, are you looking at 4th June for Bruntingthorpe? Video cam would be available and I do have proper clamping for the camera btw

Anyone else thinking of going?

Your right about it not being a proper track Simon as it`s really a runway with some cones for some added curves - and I`ve heard that flicked stones are a problem if you get too close to other cars. How about Rockingham? Doesn`t it have an "infield" track inside the oval for track days? I`d be happy to go there, been once before and impressed with facilities
