F30 Alpina D3 values

Talking about the 345hp / 700Nm big diesel version. I'm seriously tempted but don't see too many for sale, and those that I do are still quite serious money. Are there just not many about because they have been elevated from the E90 2.0 versions to a much more high spec machine and people are hanging on to them, or not many being sold or what?

Early ones will be 3-4 years old now and I'd have thought they'd be filtering through to the 2nd hand market by now.

Any views on depreciation generally. Nice 2.0 bi-turbo's are around for fairly strong money for 09/10/11 cars so I'd imagine the newer 3.0 versions would be more desirable again?

The newer ones seem better specced than the last gen with not idrive etc
