Pcp ending what next, when....
Discussion
My first PCP is ending in September, I will be handing it back and the car has no equity I it so will be starting from scratch. Nothing fancy, just a C1 for the station run and around town at weekends.
With this car I'd had various delays which meant that it had slipped a couple of times past its original delivery date. I therefore don't want the same happening as I switch over, equally don't mind if that therefore means I have something sitting on my driveway for a week or so for that peace of mind.
I'm going to be switching over to 5 seater, 4 was proving to be just 1 short at weekends with kids and the like.
I'm most likely going to go lease this time, therefore not sure when I should be looking and ordering and partly with an eye on getting a good deal when they pop up...
The fiesta zetec, at the moment is catching my eye but not sure if securing the current price for a September is allowed, or reasonable to do?
Would appreciate some guidance from those with more experience than myself.
Thanks.

My car is going back I'm at, started looking in Oct and made it clear to dealers contacted I dud not want / need until mid May.
Ordered one of the mythical Octavia VRs 245s but cancelled in late Nov when it became clear that it was by no means certain I'd get the car when needed.
Ordered a Leon ST 4Drive in early Dec and is currently in transit and will be held by dealer until May - allowing to be transition between cars with no real gap.
All dealers spoken to were happy to quote and honour deals even though they were 5-6 months ahead

The best value leasing deals are usually those where the leasing company has got access to a batch of cars which are heavily discounted provided that they are registered in the current period ( month / quarter etc ).
Therefore the cars are physical and delivery would typically be in around 7-10 days.
If you see a good deal it might be worth picking the phone up and seeing if you get get one delayed to an acceptable delivery date. Quarter 3 ( July - Sept ) is usually quite good for strong deals in any case so don't despair if you can't get a deal straight away.
