DM98 Smart Watch - daft problem

Okay, so I have a Dm98 smart watch and despite its limitations I've enjoyed it so far. However, today I noticed the screen brightness was a bit lower than I would have liked so I went into settings and set the brightness higher. But, a quick bit of finger trouble and I set the brightness at the lowest setting which you'd think means dim or low. No, the lowest setting is literally black! So, I can't see anything and can't see the slider to get the brightness back up!!!
If you get the lighting in the room just right you can see the icons on the screen so it still is on. But when you touch the screen the oil from your finger makes it impossible to see anything.
I've tried even pressing the system reset button using a pin but nope, the screen brightness is still almost black.
Mad! Why have a setting so low that you can't see anything?!
Anyone know how to resolve this? Its going to be annoying as hell to bin the watch because of this.
