Passat Saloon or Estate - Standard Basic LED Headlights

Hi,

Does anyone have a video or images of the standard LED headlights that now come with the Passat and Passat Estate in the GT Trim and above. I am referring to the standard reflector LED headlights and not the Premium ones.

I cant find anything at all on youtube or any images. Everything shows the premium LED headlights with the Double U signature.

I don’t have a photo but they look very similar to the halogen set up.

They look nothing like the premiums.

I have just collected my new Passat estate GT 220ps TSi with premium LEDs.

The most powerful petrol and diesel Passats come with the premium LED lights as standard. I think they are worth the extra over standard LED even if you are adding them as a extra. They look stunning and light the way admirably. Another cool feature is the ability to switch dipped beam direction for Europe.

That does look like the low LED's.

From reviews I’ve read they are much better than halogens and only slightly worse than the Xenons that the equivalent Skoda Superbs.

The main difference between the low LED's and high (premium) LED's is reflector vs projector and the lows have about 60% fewer lumens. This is why the lows don’t have a wash system and the highs do have the wash system. The low LED's do not exceed the 2000 lumen limit where a wash system becomes law.

Supposedly good lights and a nice 2018 upgrade for the SE Business including the tri-zone climate and heated front seats!
