These bars are made of rollbar grade tubing. The white powder coat is making it look less heavy than it is in reality. They are strong but Terry Lane didn't get the design tested. He just used quality tubing. The consensus at the time these were produced was that they would withstand a roll. The hoop design weakens them hence the cross bracing. I guess you'd have to see it in the flesh to see the quality. It's very heavy and solid

Are you talk ?
No, I just owned one. They do stiffen the chassis a little. They also transmit chassis noise into the cockpit. As for harness bosses, those rear bars are main load bearers so I'd worry about weakening them. I have seen bolt on harness mounts for standard rollbar tubing. I'd try that option firstyou don't necessarily have to bolt eyes into a roll cage to secure the harness straps. If the tubes are in the correct location - ie just behind the shoulder holes in your seat you can use long harness straps and just wrap them round the tubes. I use the standard seat belt mount point for the outer shoulder and wrap a strap round a cross beam for the inner one. I am only 5 ft 8 so my seat is quite far forward. if I was taller with the seat further back it might not work so well
Hi Daz. I should have read the thread thoroughly as I didn't realise it was you who bought the bar otherwise I would've called you. As it is out in the open, this one is the same as yours. It was fitted but was plainly of no use whatsoever. It was returned immediately!
As you can see, it just about clears the top of the headrest.
About the only use it may have is to mount a go pro camera to it.

Oh dear!
6 foot 3" Daz but it is still several inches below my wife's head who is 5'10".
I think you are wrong, if the screen collapses I'm sure my rollbar would work as it is bolted in to the rear of the chassis, into the seat belt bolts where the inertia fittings bolt to the rear and also to the outriggers.

I saw a picture of one a few years back with a cit added on .
I dont beleive any of the ones on offer no matter how high are going to be alot of use ..
Once the screen collapses the roll bar will do very little .
You are a giant Peter about 6ft 6 where Im a nimble 5ft 8 plumber.
