HMRC down?

Been trying to submit wages returns for 3 days now, called HMRC who say they have them but we have to re-submit until we get confirmation.

Anyone else having problems? Better to try late at night?

Trying to pay PAYE/NIC bill and won't accept the card, same one I use every month. Bank says they can't see any failed payment attempts.

Also March appears to be missing on the schedule i.e. payment history for this year is
21st Jan - paid
22nd Feb - paid
Next due 22nd April.

I haven't paid the 22nd March payment yet. Very odd.

Their system seemed to crash utterly on Monday (I was tring to submit a Corporation Tax return and accounts for a client). Other accountants were having trouble submitting anything and everything - VAT, CIS, PAYE, Self Assessment - you name it, nothing was being accepted.

HMRC said absolutely nothing until hundreds of complaints were made to them. They never updated their website to say there were problems.

It was "fixed" yesterday and I finally managed to submit my CT return this morning. However, the system does seem to be having ongoing issues.

I REALLY (don't) look forward to Making Tax Digital.

Was not working for our return as of 4pm still. We are doing employer / employee return and I hope they don't ping a £200 fine our way as that's their usual response to anything "late".
