Hi

Later this year we will celebrate the 21st anniversary of owning our 4L precat, a 1994 Ocean Haze model that we purchased in July 1997. Just out of interest I wondered if anyone can out-do us?

Not me, I bought my Griff in 2005.
However, I bought my 350i in April 1997, so I am coming up to 21 years of TVR ownership. As I didn't sell the 350i until a year after buying the Griff, does that equate to 22 years of TVR Ownership?

I did think that when I renewed my TVRCC membership in April we would have a glass of something to celebrate.

Actually, its not as good as it sounds. The Griff was bought as a project and ran for a year until the MOT ran out when it was SORN'd. The project went well initially, but then for all sorts of reasons (life went a bit wrong) the project stalled. This time last year I had a word with myself and got stuck in again. If all goes to plan I am hoping for a "body on" party sometime over the Easter weekend.

19 years now with my Griff 500 (97P). Still on the original chassis, but have been advised that it will need a refurb in the next couple of years. Expensive times ahead. eek Still enjoy driving it and can’t ever imagine parting with it.

18 years with this one, 3 years the previous one and for two years had a390se at the same time. So with the range rover 4.6, 3.9 and 5.0 that’s was a lot of cc,s. Saw the griff taken away today, going to a much better owner !

Coming up to 14 years, the owner could do with a chassis refurb..

Ten years for me on the present Griff which is a keeper but had two previously (a 500 & a 400) and two Taimars before that starting in 1999.

13 years here, 1994 car. Also took me 13 years from first seeing a Griff at Earls Court motorshow to actually buy one. Glad to see there are lots of keepers here smile

Just over 8 years for my current Griff ( I've had 4)
I've been in and out of TVR's for the last 21 years ( 10 in total).
I thought my current car was a keeper, but my heads been turned by something else and as I'm not getting any younger I need to scratch that itch before I need a crane to get in and out of it...
Sadly my Griff is now up for sale but I'll know I'll bloody miss it!
