Does anyone know wether a set of cats from a 4.5 will fit a 4.2 or can i get an mot without fitting the cats somewhere?

They will if they are the same length...two different lengths...why not decat it...chances are that the Cerb wouldnt pass an MOT 'offically' with the cats anyway!

Dont want to sound old and boring but a decat cerbie i went was just so loud it was too much espcially with a little one in the car mind you i couldn't hear the wife could be what i'm looking for.

shouldnt be too loud on a standard exhaust.
On a sports exhaust with decat then car can be heard from miles away.
