I have a few of us looking for a karting event, the type with some qualifying and finals. We've been to Daytona before but on a Sunday as that seems the best day for most of us. Open races are easiest as it means I don't have to do any more than say 'We're racing here, book yourself on if you want to join us' but these races seem hard to find. We're mostly based in the South East (cambs/kent/hants/Surrey/London).

AM I missing anything obvious?

Campbell Circuit at Filching Manor might be worth a look. Not been for years but was very good.

Buckmore no question. The rest are Mickey Mouse in comparison.

I agree Buckmore Park is good, but it depends how far you want to travel.

I've done a few indoor tracks in the past. None have been a patch on outdoor ones though.

Lakeside is OK, but Buckmore is definitely my favourite in the south east. thumbup

Another one you might want to consider is Rye House - http://www.rye-house.co.uk/hire-karting

Had a cracking morning. 2.5s off the fastest guys in group who had their own shoes and overalls, I'll take that for first time out! Slightly damp so great fun sliding!
