Mods Ignoring emails..
Discussion
Hi
I appreciate you mods are very very busy but i sent an email this morning querying my being banned from the NPE forum apparently due to posts i made in the TR thread (I get a message about not playing nicely with others if i try to post??).
What where the two comments I made that were in breach of forum rules which were deleted and what rule did i break that saw me banned from both that thread and the NPE forum?
Frankly not bothered about the TR thread. You may have noticed I had largely stopped posting in that thread as it had/has become rather childish and boring but would still like to know where the ban hammer came from.

Have you checked the email address linked to your account? Normally you should get a mail explaining the reason for your ban.
P.S. It's the weekend - it may take longer to get a reply.
Yup. I just had emails saying the mods had removed two of my comments from the TR thread although no mention of which ones and then another message a few days later saying they felt it wisest i was banned from the the NP&E forum even though i hadnt actually posted in the TR thread or any other in NP&E for a few days anyway so far as I can recall.P.S. It's the weekend - it may take longer to get a reply.

I am certainly starting to think it may be the case. I received loads of abuse for my posts and was as ever largely polite in response and when certain members would not stop arguing I stopped responding to their posts.
Yet here i am banned for some reason yet a lot of the most abusive and argumentative members are still happily allowed to post and abuse fellow forum members in the same thread where they were abusing me.

Ok so it seems there may be issues outside of the Mods being biased or being dicks that have led to the tumbleweed situation going on with regard to the lack of response from them going by a few threads that have popped up here in WF.
My guess is the mods have bigger things to worry about than responding to messages from forum members right now.

So this is what happened to FCR. Maybe the ban was for not actually taking part in any discussions and just trolling threads instead?
If moderation was as biased as you claim, how come NTMl, ReverendCounter and others aren't banned? Could it be they actually try and discuss the topics, rather than just snipe at other posters?
I'm also interested to know how discussion is being shut down? The Tommy Robinson thread, for example has drifted a long way from the original subject, to a more controversial one and is still open.

Morning All, in the main we have two sorts of mods these days, "Ambassadors" these are the old school type mods, mostly from when Ted owned the site. "Ambassadors" are all unpaid volunteers.
We also have agency mods, these are paid moderators which look after and action as required the day to day run of the mill reports that come in.
The agency mods do not get into any communications regarding their actions as it is not part of their remit.
We ambassadors usually respond to any emails received, as and when members send them to us, I say usually as we probably won't get into any in depth conversations about moderation on the forums but will whenever endeavour to reply to assist with your question or point you in the direction as to who can supply you with an answer.
The ambassadors also advise the agency mods when they have any questions.
Jack Mansfield and Ben Lowden also moderate occasionally as when their work load permits.
IIRC there are a few restricted specialist forum moderators, but in the main we don't get involve with those forums.
There are also a few "move" mods that shuffle threads around to the best suited forums, they only have a limited number of moderator tools in their box.
So that about it really,
Hope that helps explain.

Hi frankenstein,
Just a heads up that I've replied to your email you sent on Saturday - apologies for not coming back to you sooner, emails are more often than not left until I'm back in the office!
If anyone else has any queries please feel free to email me, a public thread isn't an ideal discussion place for individual issues!
Thanks
Jack

How do you get to be an agency mod?
