After what seems like an eternity I taxed beastie this morning and we went out for a hoon round some of our lovely local twisties.

I can confirm that my darkest fears have been allayed... the hooligan in me is alive and well biggrin

Fortunately not Anthony, it's more of a gentleman's carriage smile

Anyone else grow horns when they take the TVR out (compared to driving the daily etc)?

I try not to, mainly because I fear that going through a hedge backwards could give me a Donald Trump hairstyle.....

I used to do but after seeing a very nice DB7 in Knaresborough yesterday I lost the enthusiasm for the Trev and wished I still had mine. Seriously stupidly idoitic mistake selling it - Volante as well - now worth twice what I sold it for cry

I took mine out for a drive this afternoon and stopped off at a Porsche independent in the countryside. Had a good browse through their wares and even had the dealer offering me 20K for my car in PX.

Good sense prevailed and I left empty-handed, (for now). laugh

If you want performance then there is nothing within my price range that would outdo the chim although in a Porsche I would be able to hear my wife speak , hmmm.

Porsche would be a nice stable mate, but not a replacement for the Tiv, especially not your Tiv, you would be mad to sell yours it is fantastic car.

Well said Matthew. A Porsche is so tame (with the exception of the GT3 and GT2) that it is an enjoyable daily. A TVR is special.

Hi Matthew wavey

All good here smile Life with the Aston is superb, so much so I can't (unfortunately) imagine life without one... It's a bit like an expensive overcoat, very comfortable, stylish, always looks good, wear it anywhere.... The Chim on the other hand (pun coming) is like putting on a boxing glove, changes your attitude, makes you want to punch something, even if it's only a hole in the air biggrin Maybe that feeling will go away when I grow up though hehe

Hope you're well Matthew, be good to catch up with everyone at a meet somewhere this year.... beer

Glad you are enjoying the Aston, it really is a stunning car from every angle and a true gentleman's car. Glad you still have the chim, yours is particularly nice and like you say a different animal to the Aston.

Would be great to catch up sir. I will keep an eye on the Snet meets.

Out for a noon yesterday. Kept going over 100 mph into bends.......but at Cadwell Park it is not just legal, but encouraged.

Stops me being an utter hooligan on the public road.
