Yep, they pretend their watches cost more than anyone actually pays, but what the heck. I own three, but this is about one in particular. I bought a 200m WR red bezeled Invicta diver about a year ago, and like all my other watches it gets worn for about a day a month. I am just at the end of my holiday in the Maldives, and brought four watches with me, three for evening wear, and one for the day. I didn't want to bring anything to expensive for the day, as I knew it would be worn heavily. For this reason I chose the aforementioned time piece. Well, it's been excellent. As expected it had worked well in the water, with no sign of leakage. It's stainless strap has proven comfortable, and it has gained just two seconds in the past month. Surprisingly it still doesn't have a single hair line scratch anywhere. What more could anyone ask ?

I always imagined the Maldives would be so amazing that I wouldn't even go near a computer.

But yes, Invicta is a nice choice for a cheap watch.

Indeed it is a wonderful place. Typed out the post on my tablet whilst having a beer after a long day in the sun. Better than talking to the wife !!

My first automatic watch was an Invicta (8926). It got me interested in watches.
I later discovered it was a Submariner "hommage" (aka: exact copy), but the watch served me well for over 8 years without service. It now loses time like it's going out of fashion, so it's in the cupboard.

I replaced it as a beater with an SKX. Great watch but over double what I paid for the Invicta.

I'd have another one in a heartbeat. The quality for the money is great. I've become a bit of a Seiko fan since then, but what the Invicta lacked in own "personality" it made up for in general build quality (case, bracelet). As above, I'd take the SKX over it every day of the week but it's double the price.

I'd say to everyone wanting something like a Sub to get one, it's a good way to get a feel of the watch in terms of look and size. What I'd take from it is that I never want a cyclops again biggrin.

In general about Invicta, it seems like there are two clear sides to the company: one makes high quality copies of mainly classic Rolex designs at a very compelling price point. The other one also makes good quality watches but for a different audience.. these all seem to be very big and "out there". I'm not a fan of them but they make some of the biggest watches available and the build quality and movements are generally good, amazing even if you consider the price point.

From an objective POV they are good. Pay the normal price and get a good watch (whether it's a copied design or something more out there).
As a first watch it's hard to fault. 70 EUR watch that lasted me 8 years. If I see the right one somewhere I might go for it again.
Maybe if they do a proper "hulk" or "kermit" hommage in the right size smile.

Bought my wife the blue diver for her everyday as she was always catching her Pro 300. It keeps great time and for £100 great value and it does look good
