Can't open engine bay fuse box

Perhaps I am being utterly incompetent but I can't seem to open the engine bay fuse box on my 2006 DB9. I have located the box at the back of the engine bay, on the passenger side, partially obscured by one of the cross braces. Looking down on the fuse box from the side of the engine bay there appear to be two small protrusions on the right hand side that could be clips, and one much larger one hidden lower down on the left hand side. I've tried pushing and pulling all of these every way I can think of but the cover doesn't seem to budge. Is there something I am missing? (I tried to take a photo but it just came out black)

It can be difficult to open. The latching tabs bend when you press on them, making you think they're unlatching, but they might not be actually unlatching. Try to get your fingers as close to the base of the tabs as you can to make sure they're actually unlatching rather than just bending. You might hear a loud snap as they release, if the fuse box hasn't been opened in a while.

Yes they were bending, when the lid didn't release when pressing firmly on them I assumed it must be released somewhere else. I didn't want to press too hard and break something. I'll try again and be a little more forceful this time.
