Sky TV in other room ?

My FIL has recently had his sky box updated. His old box allowed him to have a main Tv in the lounge and one in conservatory via a simple y branch connector on back of main TV input cable. The new sky box has a output to TV that has connections simillar to a USB. Is their any way to connect main TV to his old system. The TV in conservatory is fed with coaxial cable and it would be a devil of a job to replace it so any future connection would need to be compatible with coax fittings.. Hopefull and thanks. Ian
Is the new box a Sky Q?
If so, and the other TV has an HDMI socket, he'll need a Sky Q mini box (£99) which talks to the main Sky box via WiFi.
If the other TV only has coax input there really isn't a practical solution; he'd be better off getting a new TV than two HDMI-to-RF converters and some way to change channel remotely.

I don't think you need a separate WiFi network. The SkyQ minibox talks wirelessly to the main SkyQ box; not sure this needs a router in between. Anyone?
The main box and any mini’s create their own mesh and can operate and communicate without a WiFi connection.Edited by Nimby on Wednesday 28th March 13:44
However, getting Q installed and registered in the first place without WiFi/internet looks very difficult.
