I notice that Eric's post count will soon reach 99,999.

Will his following post be recorded as 100,000 or 0?

He'll get clocked. One careful owner, only 48.000 posts. FSH.

What’s the 100,000 post going to be about?

Trump?
Aircraft?
Tax?
Scale Models?

My money is on aircraft.

He’s on today arguing about Trump. He doesn’t like Trump hehe

So sweepstakes time.

I’m saying his 100,000 post will be about aeroplanes and it will occur on May 1st

There’s bound to be some trump stuff going on and he’s busy making some model aircraft so I’m optimistic he can get it done.

100,000 posts. Let's say 30 seconds for a thought out response, including typing.

833 hours! eek

And that doesn't include reading the threads!!
I think you are probably way, way off with your calculation.

Reading through the threads and posts before replying will be massively more time consuming than actually typing a post.

By my rough estimate and timing of myself, It's entirely possible that he has spent an average of around 3 minutes per post if you include the browsing of the forums, reading before posting a reply, and reading of topics that you don't post in.

(And I still think that's a little conservative as an estimate)

That's a staggering 5000 hours.

Or to put it another way, if you did absolutely nothing but read and post on PH from 9am to 5pm, 5 days a week, then it's 2.4 years.

2.4 years of your life!

It is certainly quite something, I'll say that!

There must be people out there on other forums with bigger numbers though?

Is this the highest post count to date?

How long has he been on the forum? a posts per month average would be interesting.

ETA just found out, 192 months, average of 518 posts per month.

Some simple maths later and assuming 3 minutes per post ( probably a lot more when everything is taken into consideration) and that is at least 26 hours a month. True dedication.

Would be interesting if anyone can beat that amount of average posts per month.

I'm going to wait until he's about ten posts short and start a thread about the sad deterioration of spoken English.
