Overrun & extra air valve delete

decided to look at the possibility of deleting the air rail and the above.
Can any of the gurus on here advise how much impact this will have on cold starting etc.
I want to keep the engine bay as uncluttered as possible.

Isn't it the thing that makes "pops and bangs" on the overrun? As such, essential equipment IMHO.
