Electrical connectors

Hi,

I wanted to connect to the factory harness (loom) at the stock (dash) switch points by using the appropriate corresponding male connectors. I thought they were standard "MOLEX" connectors and bought some, but they are just slightly different and do not fit.

Are the factory connectors a (proprietary) UK version of a "MOLEX" connector or are they a generic type?

Better yet - anyone know where I can buy some in North America?

BTW, it appears that the factory used either 2pin or 5pin male connectors in this location, so these are what I am looking for.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to bother you guys again but before I butcher the stock connectors and use a local version - does anyone in the UK know where I can purchase the male connector terminals and housings as described above?

I will be eternally grateful - (well at least until my conscience dissipates)

Thanks for the memory jog though - I wasn't thinking of the vast and varied resource base available on the net.

The DIGIKEY catalog lists 3 different sizes of this style Molex connector. See the last 2 pages of the following PDF.

I think I may have found a source for the terminals - however still no luck with the housings - scroll down to see items ref 00510 and 00514 - these appear to be the male and female terminal ends.
