Decades ago, when Time Out cost money, they used to list pages and pages of events in London, guest speakers at London unis open to the public, guest speakers at libraries etc. Exhibitions, gallery events, bands playing in pubs, basically everything that was going on that coming week. I spent many happy spare afternoons and evenings attending lectures on American involvement in Central America, or various African civil wars. Always free, often with refreshments laid on.

Picked up a Time Out today and they've stopped doing it. Where can I find this info. Anyone know of any websites etc, that list absolutely everything happening in London?

This seems pretty comprehensive, thanks. Loads of free leftfield talks dotted around the place.

It doesn't seem to cover Uni events though, which is a shame. Back in the day, you could just turn up and see some quite well known faces talking to a room of about 50 people.

Mostly done on Facebook pages/groups now, websites don't get updated much anymore

He's worth subscribing to. I rarely go to London he's days but when I did, it was useful just for interesting and random events. A friend who spends a lot of time in town swears by it.

I'm now following on Twitter. He posted yesterday about plans to open up the little known underground caverns beneath the city, vast caves that few have seen. Thought that would be brilliant, but it was an April fools joke!!! furious

Fell for it completely.
