Seems an easy and trivial problem but no joy searching on this one.

It has been loose since I had it apart for interior work a year ago, was loose ever since re-fitting but it was always one of those 'when I get round to it' kind of jobs.

I have the Leven kit; having had the car in the air for 4 months, now its all back together the handbrake button has fallen off completely and won't go back on. The basic problem seems to be the actual handbrake inner lever is sitting on the bottom of the outer Leven sleeve so there's a step preventing the button sliding on.

Last thing I did was have the rear calipers off, and as the handbrake has always been a bit useless when I re-assembled the rear brakes I tightened the adjusters as far as they would go, which was about 1 turn beyond the wear mark where they were set at initially. Handbrake itself seems to work OK, I just have to hold it on a bit like a fly-off type.

Fiddle with the handle or fart about jacking it up and get at the adjuster again? mad

How to keep it on? TVR specialist said superglue!

You should have two small grub screws securing the Leven outer to lever.
Adjust to get hole lined up then re fit.

I seem to think you need to remove Leven outer sleeve, put button on and then put outer over it, should hold button in place that way but it might be different to mine.

Struggling a bit here, nothing seems to fit in or on anything else!
