Can anyone with a Griff or Chim please do a quick measurement for me. Having a new exhaust system built and need to know how low round the front of the car (engine bay area) the exhuats hang, relative to the base of the chassis rails. (i.e. 1/2" below etc).

Does it hang below the base of the RV8 sump etc.

Tanks in advance

On mine it goes over & just clears the front cross braces (3 each side like spider) and the bottom is levelish with the bottom of the chassis rail - so it passes between the sump & chassis rail.

Cheers - I'll pass that on - not sure if they vary 400 450 500 doubt it - but you can never tell with TVR's. Good Race with a 400bhp 65 Griff yesterday - spanked it though.

A 400 BHP Griff must be a heavily modified beast. Not sure there would be that much differnce in a straight line (if you have the new motor fitted) - so I assume there was a corner involved.

Would/should be a 289 Hi-po, and a real handful, but enormous fun
Sold mine 15 years ago, and sort of regret it.
