Audi TT 2007 Engine management light

I have owned one for 7 years now & have my fair share of faulty wiring mainly to rear lights a local car electrical expert told me few years ago that these year TTs do suffer from bad wiring & he has helped me but since having the car I do get the engine light keep appearing on the dash for sometimes a short time & sometimes many days at a time there is no driving problems at all, but as im in the process of selling my car I need to do something to put that light out otherwise a sale will be hard, any help which was to go with this is appreciated.

You could always fix the fault?

As opposed to trying to con someone in a sale!

Needs plugging into VAGCOM to find out what the fault is, there will be a stored code if the light goes out again,

There will be a stored code. Get a friend with a OBD scan tool or go to a garage and see what the code is.
