Trim clip removal technique needed

I’m repairing the door mirror from a Citroen CX and have the plastic trim frame to remove from the die cast metal frame. There are plastic posts held down with a sort of gripping spring washer. To add to the fun the washers are a bit rusty.
Any tips on how to remove these types of clips without snapping the plastic posts?

I got mine off by gentle prising behind them with small terminal screwdrivers, this was enough to loosen and allowed them to be undone.
i cut a thread on them when re assembling and screwed on a standard nut, a blob of silicone was used for added security.
