Touch up code help please.
Discussion
I am sure this has been discussed 100 times but the search facility is disabled at the moment so apologies.
I want to order a touch up stick for a few stone chips etc, someone mentioned previously that there should be a code under the bonnet of the paint colour so i had a look. Loads of number/letters/codes all for different things I guess, can someone indicate more sepcifically where this might be or is not always there ? Are ccodes a certain ammount of numbers then letters ?
Maybe you can see my profile and answer the question staright off - any help appreciated.

BTW, if you need to search PH when the search facility is down you can laways use Google. Just type in what you are looking for and then put plus sign before "+pistonheads" at the end of the search phrase. Eh voila! a Heath Robinson PH Search . Also If you don;t want the to search to include the
anything s6 related just add "-speed six" as well.

P422 is a ICI paint code, so any half decent bodyshop should be able to mix you some in about 2mins.
Thank Spud Gun, that is really useful info - So am i right in thinking that the first part of the code is the manufacturer and the second the colour or am i way off the mark again.
Cheers

Lake is spot on about the code part.
Looks like the Rouge Mandarin colour car PHer "anthonyb" used to have?
I think you could be right there - I bought it off him. Is that what the colour is called ??? I have always wondered.... So I am assuming I just rock up to some car paint place (Halfords), give them my code and they whip something up for me...
