E90 2006 320D MAF question

Hi all,

I suspect my MAF needs changing however the official Bosch one comes in at around 140 and there appear to be 'replicas' on a well known auction site for 30-60.

I know most of the time it's buy cheap buy twice but does anyone has any experience of an after market MAF?

Aftermarket air mass meters are terrible. You can test your old one by doing an air mass system test with DIS or ISTA D (BMW dealer diagnostic software).

It's done 227k on the original so likely needs changing anyway.

Symptoms are some flat spots at low speeds and the car shivers on idle when up to temperature.

I may just go for the Bosch one then.

Sometimes the Bosch ones are cheaper from German vendors depending on the euro/pound rate. It’s worth checking your vacuum hoses too as these can cause problems.
