And the next decision is manual, DCT, competition pack.

Unless my brain has deserted me, thought the competition package wasn’t available for the saloon. So if OP means a saloon , then depending on budget I’d say LCI CIC iDrive and whichever is preferred DCT or manual ; think the latter is pretty rare on the LCIs.
EDC is the option oft debated , don’t see any disadvantages having it but need to decide if it’s a deal-breaker , particularly if on a rather saloon.

You are correct - UK CP cars are only E92 coupes. Other markets could get the Comp Pack on the E90 saloon version (maybe also E93 Cab?)EDC is the option oft debated , don’t see any disadvantages having it but need to decide if it’s a deal-breaker , particularly if on a rather saloon.

Thanks all, yes looking at an 2011 LCI with EDC, I have read all the stories about the actuators etc. just wondering peoples experiences.
Whilst the competition package did sway me towards the E92, I think i can forgo the wheels and the lowered suspension for a practical four door.
do you like red? Whilst the competition package did sway me towards the E92, I think i can forgo the wheels and the lowered suspension for a practical four door.

personally I like the 18s wheels on these.
warranty would cover issues of actuators, rod bearings. otherwise rebuild.org are very well thought of and provide lifetime warranty.

Ha speaking with Sytner right now about that red one, agreed prefer the smaller supposedly lighter 18” wheels
Well it's apparently 1 owner car.
I bought my E46 M3 from Sytner Coventry, Joshua Mallard was the sales guy, also dealt with Mark (can't think of his surname) and overall a really nice dealership.

Oh, very nice! Individual Audio too, which is quite rare.

18" wheels aren't lighter but they are rarer and a nice wheel with slightly better ride, cheaper tyres and easier to refurb. Made by BBS.

You're not wrong about LCI manuals being rare, add in EDC and they're almost impossible to find, as I'm finding out!Very occasionally a manual CP car crops up, I think including the thread on one here I've seen three in as many years - though I think I'm one of one who prefers the 19's.
