BTL portfolio,is it possible to place them with letting co.
Discussion
I have a number of BTL's.I like them to be managed by letting agents to reduce the time spent dealing with problems .My girlfriend is setting up a letting company and will naturally look after my BTL's as part of her business.
So i guess my question is......could i charge her a flat fee each month for each house, this being a figure that would cover my mortgages ,insurances etc .She would then receive rents and pay for any repairs but i would get a guarantee'd monthly income.I'm a 40% taxpayer.
Sorry if this is a very simplistic or maybe even inflammatory question to some on here. I have set up this profile just to ask the question,i'm a regular poster on here but didnt want it connected with my regular postings.
Thanks in advance

I was thinking that its a good way to give me and easy life with a small profit as well, she would use the money that she(hopefully) makes and would use said profits to grow her fledgling business. Perhaps at the end of the year if there was a decent profit i could get a percentage back .
thank you
thank you

What happens when she stops being your girlfriend?
The first step should be working out how you get out of any arrangement to have with her.
well.she wont be becoming Mrs dillydilly as we've both been there before. If me and her were to split up then surely she would just be managing my houses as before? The first step should be working out how you get out of any arrangement to have with her.
