Oh noooo, not another Hollywood remake! The whole point of Miami Vice was the 80s-ness of it! The music, the cars, the clothes. It will be like remaking Brief Encounter or Metropolis, utterly useless without the right context.

Hurrah for the DVD release though!

Michael Mann is behind the film version, so there's some hope it'll be a good un'.

I'm slightly biased in as much as MV has ALWAYS been my fav TV prog, so other than a few details I think it's aged very well.

I also have 2 Jan Hammer CDs in my car at the 'mo too

Now, for Tubbs I reckon Usher (the RnB singer) would be perfect. Still stuck on a suitable Crockett, although Matthew Mahonahay (not spelt that way but I'm not even going to have a go!) wouldn't be too bad.

Just so long as they don't go the "comedy" route as per Starsky & Hutch etc.

MOST important though.....which car - black Daytona Spyder or white Testaross? I vote for the Daytona (as long as it's a real one!)
