Looking at Cayman 987 S G2, but want the proper flappy paddles, what’s the option as I see lots with the buttons on the wheel?

You can buy a replacement wheel with Paddles from Porsche, it's called the Sport Design version.

Ah ok thanks, no doubt an expensive change.

Looking at a 14 plate M235i and sending it to Birds or 10-12 plate Cayman S.

Current in a manual 135i

It's less than £1k. I have just that model and with the sports wheel. It's fabulous and I am a die hard lover of manual transmissions. Not now of course!

I always thought of myself as a true manual devotee, but since getting my Cayman I've become quite a lazy bu66er. Most of the time I don't even use the paddles, just letting the auto option do all the work. What I do like about the system though is that even with the box in auto mode, you can still use the paddles should an occasion arise where you want to override what the auto is doing. I mostly use that feature to force it to drop down a gear or two when slowing down.
