I can't find my keys, although I have a spare key I dont have a spare imobilizer thingy! can anyone offer help on how to start the engine without before I telephone Porsche and pay a fortune for the privalige?

Have you tried starting it? I thought the alarm deactivation guts were in the actual spare key head not the plipper?
IIRC, the alarm will sound until you get the key in the ignition if you unlock manually.
