Just having a spring clean on the pc, but which is the best to use when formatting, FAT or NTFS?

Quick answers appreciated thanks.

P.S. I've partitioned the drive 30:60 if thats any use.

If backwards compatibility isnt an issue (ie if you dont need to access the data from a 9x machine) then NTFS every day of the week and some new days I have just made up to reinforce how strongly I feel about this.
