Hoping to pick the brains of the knowledgeable here,
This has popped up, and only being 10 miles from me, has stirred my interest.
Only I don't know much about them.
Looks cheap to me, could there be a hidden reason?
What questions would I ask and what are the things to look for?
Plus points, negatives etc.
Any help would be gratefully received.
Not my preferred colour combination but it is what it is.
Regards
Fy

I'd see if you can have sight of the last 3 yrs servicing invoices for the car so you can then speak to the specialist who did the work to ask for their opinion on the car.
On cars of 13 yrs old, clutch/ suspension/brakes/front rads would be a good starting point on condition and the age/condition of the tyres. I'd also be checking the service intervals and also when the last major service was due etc? Given the age of the car, I'd also got peace of mind be looking to get the engine bores scoped as the early ones can sometimes gave problems and having the ECU checked for over-revs.

The seller can't be arsed to use capitals at the beginning of sentences, he's got a stupid font on his number plate, the car is pretending to be something it isn't and it's got a Magic Tree air freshener in the centre console. Hoping to pick the brains of the knowledgeable here,

I would go see it first and see if it's not obviously a dog (does it stink inside?). If it's alright get a PPI done.
Hi!
A check of the pics shows this to be a very straight 997 C2 in really good condition. It's been optioned well from the factory too - it's not often you find a C2 with Sports Chrono, Full Electric, Heated, Sport Seats (Seat option Bingo), Sunroof and 19" rims. Not sure why someone's added the 'S' badge though; bit sad that.
As others have said, track the Service History to ensure that it's been maintained properly. The fact that it states the IMS as having been done (Probably at the same time the clutch was being changed?) and it's wearing premium rubber would certainly indicate this, but also examine the MOT History to see that any advisories noted at the time of test were acted on. (example - tyre close to legal limit was been replaced soon after, etc.)
By now I'd expect a car of this age and mileage to be on it's second round of Alternator, Air-con rads, possibly some drop-links too, depending on how the cars been kept thus far, i.e. garaged or not.
Overall I'd say this is defo worth a look.
