london car inspections (classic)

Afternoon all. I am looking to buy a 30 year old car next weekend and I would appreciate any recommendations for a pre-purchase inspection service provider. the car is advertised for (i think) a pretty strong price and I want to be sure the body work in particular isnt hiding any rot.

Alternatively if there is an idiots step by step guide to doing this myself, that would also be appreciated.

Less concerned about mechanical issues as i know the car is in regular use and serviced.

Depending on what it is, you might be best with a specialist in the brand of vehicle...rust can be hidden from an inexperienced eye.

The very best BMW specialist I have found/used in North London (Hayes) is Jason, proprietor of BW Autorepairs. Jason is a former BMW master tech and he runs a specialist BMW repair and tuning centre. He really knows his stuff.
