Roof cleaner - which one?

Need to clean and proof my roof. Do I use Renovo's dry cleaner or their wet one? Is their waterproofer worth the extra dosh or is Thomsons just as good and much cheaper?

Not sure about the best cleaner but I just washed mine with usual car wash and then waterproofed it with a couple of coats of liquid Fabsil using a paint brush which worked a treat.Looks good too.

My chim was leaking in really badly through rear targa. Mainly through the top stitching. Bought the Autoglym soft top cleaner and conditioner, totaly sorted with one treatment. Highly recomended. About 20 quid from Halfords.

Yup, I've always found the Autoglym stuff to be very good. Not so sure about the waterproofer though (not as good as Renovo IMHO).

I've never seen the cleaner sold separately, so it's a bit gauling to have to fork out £20 for two products, one of which I don't rate...

If it's in a really bad way, Renovo does some colour restorer-type stuff. Check the colour match first though.

Cheers. It's not in a bad way at all, in fact it doesn't look dirty at all, but I figured it would be best to clean before water-proofing.

Yup, I did this 2 yrs ago and it's still completely waterproof. One word of warning though, get all the soap out before waterproofing or it won't work.
