E60 M5 or Audi S4 B8

Since I have sold my E55 I had decided that an E60 M5 was next on my list of cars to buy. But my head keeps being turned by S4's.

I know that the cars are different, one is a V10 rwd monster and the other an AWD supercharged V6 with tuning potential.

Decisions decisions!

Very different cars, the E60 SMG gearbox is something to get used to but has one of the great engines. The S-tronic in the A4 will be worlds apart and much "better" than the SMG and the V6 T is a great engine as well but not as special as the V10

With a remap the V6 T does well but be very careful with the S tronic 'box as they are torque limited hence they have started using the ZF 8 speed in the B9 S4/RS4

Get the M5 otherwise you sold the faster E55 for no reason.

The only advantages of the S4 for me that I have worked out are tunability, probably more reliable and comes with a manual gear box.

Also a newer car.

But I think I'm going M5.
