Help! Cheap hotel near Bologna required

Hi all,

I'm driving down to Southern Italy, leaving tomorrow evening and arriving on Thursday, so taking it pretty easy. I've got a hotel for Wednesday night but I need to find somewhere near Bologna to stay on Thursday. I've tried my normal hotel searches but they keep coming back with £100+ hotels that I don't want.

What I'm after is a Hotel Formula 1 style place, i.e. cheap, outside the town centre and near(ish) to the road. It doesn't have to be Bologna but somewhere in the vicinity would be great as I'll be driving from Reims, through Switzerland to Bologna during the day and I don't want to try and get much further than that.

So, anyone got any suggestions?

I stayed recently in the Express by Holiday Inn just to the east of Bologna.

Handy for the ring road and motorways and a shopping centre across the road if you want to have a wander for a bit.

Its quite a new hotel and wasn't that expensive ...

If you book today its 85 euros and rises to 100 euros if you leave it till nearer Thursday !
