I am close to buying an xj351 and wondered if anyone could recommend a decent independent workshop in England that could deal with these models.

To date I have used David marks in Nottingham for my xj358 but sadly he does not deal with these more recent cars.

Whereabouts in England?
I've used Winspeed near Guildford for my older cars but they do the more modern things like X351's as well.
In that area there is also Tom... errr... someone... sorry I can't remember but several people here have used him and seemed very happy.

Jaguar maintenance

Try Abbott Jaguar near Harwich, Essex. Look at his XJS historic rally car on website, clean enough engine to eat dinner off. Superb engineer, ex Jaguar apprentice/experimental test driver/ engineer and many Group 1 Saab BTCC titles with brother Lionel.

If you're local to Derby/Nottingham I used to use MGA Jaguar in Derby for my old X351. They did a great job hunting some electrical gremlins in the boot, along with a few other bits. Labour rate is fairly competitive and they have a courtesy car available.

Unfortunately my experience of them is not good. I took my XF to Ed in 2016 wanting to improve the ride. He agreed it was shocking and charged me about £75 to measure the springs. Despite follow-ups I never heard from them again - so basically I just lost £75.
